5. GENERAL INFORMATION

A) The rule of reservation of appointments is applicable to this post and the distribution of the

vacancies will be as per the rule in force.

B) The number of vacancies advertised is only approximate and is liable to modification with

reference to vacancy position at any time before finalization of selection for appointment.

C)

The post of Assistant Elementary Educational Officer is an Executive post likely to be posted

anywhere in the State and they are expected to visit every nook and corner of their working

area. Hence the selected candidates will be required to produce a Certificate of Physical

Fitness for Executive post from a competent Medical Authority and the standard vision

required for the post is Standard - I and also Colour Blindness will be a disqualification.

D) Reservation of appointments to Destitute Widows and Ex-Servicemen will not apply to this

recruitment.

E) Any claim relating to the selection (not related to candidature or/and claims made in the

6. QUALIFICATIONS

(C) EQUIVALENT QUALIFICATION

If a candidate claims that the educational qualification in the subject possessed by him / her is

equivalent to though not the same as those prescribed for the appointment, he / she has to

produce the letter of equivalence issued by the competent authority of the University which

has awarded the degree.

Nadu Gazette as per the G.O. Ms. No.58 , School Education (Q2) Department, dated

16.02.2009 and can be obtained along with the Application Form.

. CENTRE FOR EXAMINATION:

Examination will be held in all the 32 District Headquarters. The Candidates may refer to the

Prospectus published in the Teachers Recruitment Board Website or Teachers Recruitment

Board’s Notice Board at DPI Compound , Chennai – 6 for further details. Candidates should

appear for the examination at their own expenses. The Board reserves the right to increase /

decrease the number of examination centres and to re-allot the candidates.

9. PROCEDURE OF SELECTION:

The candidates will be short-listed for Certificate Verification in the ratio of 1:1 based on the

marks secured out of 150 marks duly following Communal Reservation and subject roster.

The candidates short-listed shall attend the Certificate Verification with all their original

certificates for their eligibility for the post and also produce attested copies of all certificates as

stated in the call letter. After Certificate Verification, the provisional selection will be made

based on the marks obtained in the written examination duly following communal reservation.
