COMBINED DEFENCE SERVICES EXAMINATION (II), 2012 – DECLARATION OF FINAL RESULTS 
THEREOF. 

 The following are the lists, in order of merit of 326 (239+65+22) candidates who have qualified 
on the basis of the results of the Combined Defence Services Examination (II), 2012 conducted by the 
Union Public Service Commission in  September, 2012 and SSB interviews held by the Services Selection 
Board of the Ministry of Defence for admission to the 135

2. There are some common candidates in the three lists for various courses.  

3. The number of vacancies, as intimated by the Government is 250 for Indian Military Academy 
[including 32 vacancies reserved for  NCC ‘C’ certificates (Army Wing) holders], 40 for Naval Academy, 
Ezhimala, Kerala  (including 06 vacancies reserved  for NCC ‘C’ Certificate (Naval Wing) holders] and 32 
for Air Force Academy, Hyderabad. 

4. The Commission had recommended 5604, 1799 and 595 as qualified in the written test for 
admission to the Indian Military Academy/Indian Naval Academy and Air Force Academy respectively.  The 
number of candidates finally qualified are these after SSB testing conducted by Army Head Quarters.  
5. The results of Medical examination have not been taken into account in preparing these lists. 
6. Verification of date of birth and educational qualifications of these candidates is still under process 
by the Army Headquarters.  The candidature of all these candidates are, therefore, Provisional on this 
score.  Candidates are requested to forward their certificates in original in support of Date of 
Birth/Educational qualification etc. claimed by them, along with Photostate attested copies thereof to Army 
Headquarters /Naval Headquarters /Air Headquarters, as per their first choice. 

7. In case, there is any change of address, the candidates are advised to promptly intimate directly to 
the Army Headquarter /Naval Headquarter /Air Headquarters. 
8. These results will also be available on the UPSC website at http://www.upsc.gov.in.  However, 
marks of the candidates will be available on the website after completion of its complete process i.e. after 
declaration of final result of Officers Training Academy (OTA) for Combined Defence Services Examination 
(II), 2012.  

9. For any further information, the candidates may contact Facilitation Counter near Gate ‘C’ of the

ENGINEERING SERVICES EXAMINATION, 2012 
  
Based on the results of the Engineering Services written Examination held by the UNION PUBLIC 
SERVICE COMMISSION in June 2012 and the interviews for Personality Test held in April – May 2013, the 
following are the lists, in order of merit, of candidates who have been recommended for appointment to various 
Services/posts in Ministries/Departments concerned: 
2. The number of candidates recommended for appointment are:  
i)        269  candidates in  Civil Engineering Group; 
ii)       169  candidates in Mechanical Engineering Group; 
iii)      103  candidates in Electrical Engineering Group; and 
iv)       94    candidates in Electronics & Telecommunication Engineering Group. 
A total number of 635 candidates recommended for appointments in these four lists include 312 General, 183 
Other Backward Classes, 92 Scheduled Castes and 48 Scheduled Tribes (including 46 candidates belonging 
to Physically Handicapped category). 
3.       Appointments will be made according to the number of vacancies available and keeping in view the 
amended Rules and with due consideration to the provisions contained in rule 5(b) and 16 of the rules for the 
examination relating to restrictions on the eligibility of candidates admitted to the examination under age 
concession and allotment of candidates to various services according to ranks obtained and preference of 
services expressed by them. The number of vacancies reported by the Govt. for Group ‘A’ posts to be filled in

6. Union Public Service Commission has a ‘Facilitation Counter’ near Examination Hall Building in its 
Campus. Candidates may obtain any information /clarification regarding their Examination/   recruitments 
on working days between 10:00 A.M. and 05:00 P.M. in person or over Telephone Nos. 011-23385271 and 
011-23381125 from this Counter. The result will also be available on the U.P.S.C. Website i.e. 
www.upsc.gov.in. 

7. The mark sheet is expected to be available on the website www.upsc.gov.in after around fifteen days 
from the date of publication of results for a period of forty-five days. Candidates can access the mark sheet 
after keying in (i) their Roll Number and (ii) the date of birth.  Printed copy of the mark sheet can be issued to 
the candidates on a specific request received with self-addressed envelope duly affixed with postage stamps, 
within a period of thirty days.

General Services Organization, (GSO) Kalpakkam is one of the Constituent Units of the
Department of Atomic Energy, Government of India, situated 80 Kms. south of Chennai on the
coast of Bay of Bengal, off the East Coast Road.   GSO takes care of the common facilities such

          For Post at Category No XV and XVI (Group C)   - Relaxation upto 10 years

Note 1: The upper age relaxation of 5 years for the post at Category No II and 10 years for
the post mentioned at Category No XV and XVI to physically challenged persons belonging to
SC/ST and OBC communities is over and above the relaxation of five years/three years as
admissible to Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribes/OBC candidates respectively.

Relaxation in age for Ex-serviceman ECO/SSCO for the post of Work Assistant/A,

Forces by an Ex-serviceman is not less than six months and resultant age after deducting his
service does not exceed the prescribed age limit for the post by more than three years and also
the condition prescribed in Office Department of Personnel and Training’s Office Memorandum
No.39016/10/79-Esst. (c) dated 15.12.1979.
Relaxable in case of departmental candidates who are working in the same line or allied cadre
and having substantial or extraordinary working experience as per rules.
NOTE:
Relaxation in the upper age limit of 5 years shall be admissible to all persons who had
ordinarily been domiciled in Kashmir division of the state of Jammu & Kashmir during
the period from the 1st
 day of January 1980 to 31st
 day of December, 1989 provided
that the relaxation in the upper age limit for appearing at any examination shall be
subject to the maximum number of chances permissible under the relevant rules.
Certificate regarding proof of residence – any person intending to avail of this
relaxation in age limit shall submit a certification from:
(A) The dist. magistrate in the Kashmir division within whose jurisdiction he had
ordinarily resided;
Or
(B) Any other authority designated in this behalf by the government of Jammu &
Kashmir to the effect that he had ordinarily been domiciled in the Kashmir
division of the state of Jammu & Kashmir during the period from the 1st

January to 1980 to the 31st
 day December, 1989.
Relaxation in the upper age limit of 5 years shall be admissible to children/family
members of those who died in the 1984 riots.

GENERAL

3.  INTERVIEW CALL LETTER:-  The candidates are advised to ensure that they
fulfill all the eligibility conditions to acquire candidature for selection to the advertised
post.  Their candidature for interview will be purely provisional subject to satisfying the
prescribed condition.  Mere issuance of the interview call letter will not imply that
his/her candidature has been finally cleared by GSO.  Verification of eligibility

Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has announced the recruitment for 525 Assistant Vacancies in various offices of the bank. Selection for this post will be through competitive online examination followed by the interview. The monthly gross pay for this post is Rs 21,419/- excluding other perquisites. Annual pay including all allowances will be approx. Rs 2,90,000/- per annum on a cost of bank basis
