Age limit:
For Post No.1: 55 years i.e. candidates should be born on or after April 27, 1957.
All other posts: 50 years i.e. candidates should be born on or after April 27, 1962.
Relaxation in age will be admissible, against reserved posts only, as per Govt. of 
India guidelines.
Essential and desirable qualifications for the posts are as follows:
Post No.1 – Librarian:
Essential: Master Degree in Library Science/Information Science/ Documentation 
with minimum 55% marks or its equivalent grade and a consistently  good 
academic record. One year specialization in an area of information technology / 
archives and manuscript keeping. Master’s Degree in an area of thrust in the 
institution; and at least 10 experience as Deputy Librarian in an Institute Library or 
15 years of experience as College Librarian.
Desirable: M Phil/Ph D in Library Science/Information Science/Documentation/ 
Archives and Manuscript keeping.    Evidence of innovative library service and
organization of published work is desirable.Post No.2 - Assistant Librarian:
Essential:  Master’s degree in Library Science/ Information Science/ 
Documentation or an equivalent professional degree with at least 55% marks or its 
equivalent grade of B in the UGC seven point scales plus a consistently good 
academic  record. At least 7 years experience in a responsible capacity in an
Institute level Library. Candidates should be familiar with usage of library software 
and have experience in library computerization.
Desirable: The candidate should be well conversant with various activities of an 
Academic Library, such as procurement and processing of books and periodicals, 
supervision of special collections, maintenance of Library materials, reprography, 
binding unit etc., and providing assistance to general library administration.
Post No.3 - Medical Officer:
Essential: M.B.B.S degree from recognized university.
Desirable: Candidates should have minimum of 6 years experience after 
completing Internship out of which a minimum of 2-3 years’ experience in an 
established hospital / health center / dispensary, attached to institutions / public 
sector units. The Candidates should be in possession of Permanent Registration 
Number.

research/institutes or in a commercial organization of national standing.
Desirable: Familiarity with  stores and purchase procedures in a higher 
technological/educational and Government of India Rules.    Knowledge of

Essential: Bachelor degree, knowledge of computer application, and knowledge

English shorthand and 30 words per minute in English typewriting; and working

General Instructions to Candidates
1. For appointments, preference will be given to Physically Handicapped 
candidate(s), even where the reservation is not marked and suitable PH 
candidates are available.
2. The OBCs are required to attach the Caste Certificate in the format as 
prescribed by the Government of India.  The Institute follows the Central List in 
case of SC, ST, and OBC.
3. Candidates applying for more than one post must use separate Application 
Form for each post (along with required demand draft in original) and send 
them in separate cover super-scribed with the name of the post applied for.
4. Persons serving in Government/Semi-Government/PSU should send their 
applications either THROUGH PROPER CHANNEL or should furnish a NO 
OBJECTION CERTIFICATE at the time of interview.   They  may  send an 
advance copy along with DEMAND DRAFT in original.
5. The Institute reserves the right to relax any of the qualifications and/or 
experience in exceptional cases of meritorious candidates.  Higher initial basic 
pay may be given to exceptionally qualified and deserving candidate(s).
6. The Institute reserves its right to place a reasonable limit on the total number of 
candidates to be called for test or interview.  Fulfillment of qualifications per-se 
does not entitle a candidate to be called for test or interview.  The Institute 
reserves the right not to fill up all advertised posts, cancel the advertisement in 
whole or in part without assigning any reason and its decision in this regard 
shall be final.7. The selection process will generally consist of written/trade test and/or 
interview.  No TA will be paid for appearing  for Written Test.  However, the 
candidates called for interview will be paid AC Three Tier rail fare for S. No. 1-
5, 2

Class Sleeper rail fare for posts at S. No. 6-11 for to and fro journey by 
the shortest route.
8. Application Fee:  Applications should be accompanied with a non-refundable 
demand draft of Rs.100 for  all  the posts drawn in favour of “IIT  Hyderabad” 
payable at State Band of India, Kandi.  The issuing date of Demand Draft 
should be within the duration of Advertisement.  Demand Draft will not be 
refunded or re-adjusted under any circumstances.  No other mode of payment 
will be accepted; any applications will be rejected forthright and the payment 
made shall stand forfeited.  SC, ST and Physically Handicapped candidates 
are not required to submit the Demand Draft.
9. Incomplete applications, applications without relevant supporting enclosures, 
applications without prescribed Demand Draft or applications not on prescribed 
form will be out rightly rejected.  Institute will not be responsible for any postal 
delay.  Interim correspondence will not be entertained and replied to.
