(fully owned by Govt. of India and RBI) and India’s leading organization providing consultancy
in the areas of agriculture and rural development, intends to hire Civil/ Electrical Engineers
on full-time, contract basis for posting as “Consultant Engineers”. The details are as under:

General Terms (Applicable for both the Posts)/ Other Information
(i) The contract shall be valid for 3 years and may be renewed by NABCONS annually.
(ii) Due preference will be given to those having higher qualification or relevant experience.
(iii) Candidates will be short-listed for personal interview based on their academic
qualification and relevant work experience. The short-listed candidates will be suitably advised
for personal interview and other details.
(iv) Applicants under both the categories should possess good communication skills in
English/local languages with good knowledge of working in MS Office Suite.
(v) Vacancies for “Consultant Engineers” are in Mumbai and New Delhi while that for
are in Mumbai, New Delhi and Guwahati.

Places of Posting: Head Office of NABCONS in Mumbai and for its Office in New
Job Profile: As a Consultant Engineer, the selected candidate will be providing support to
NABCONS in respect of its assignments all over India. These assignments may be of varied
nature and the Consultant Engineer’s role and responsibility may pertain to one or more of such
works as development of monitoring formats, undertaking field visits for monitoring of
infrastructural and all other kinds of civil/electrical projects, writing of reports based on such
monitoring visits, making of presentations on reports made by NABCONS, scrutiny and
technical vetting of reports submitted by other Consultants of NABCONS, providing technical
comments wherever required, preparing technical/Engineering charts, drawings, diagrams, etc.,
assessing the technical soundness of proposed civil / electrical works and components in
various project reports, maintenance of properties of NABCONS, if any, liaising with the
concerned authorities like the District Collector / Development Commissioner / Chief Engineer /
Executive/Superintendent Engineers, etc. in connection with the assignments of NABCONS for
collecting and collating information and data, attending to the work related to MIS and Audit,
preparation and submission of memorandum and proposals to the higher Authorities for
approval, etc. as also all other works and tasks related therewith and incidental thereto.
Other terms of Contract:
(i) Once selected, the appointment will be strictly on contract basis for a period of three (3)
years from the date of joining NABCONS. This, however, will be subject to annual reviews. At
its sole discretion, NABCONS may consider further extension of the contract on the basis of a
performance evaluation. The contract shall be terminable by one month's notice on either side.
(ii) The appointment will be subject to the selected candidate being found medically fit for
providing his/her services in NABCONS by a Medical Officer to be nominated by it. The
decision of NABCONS in regard to his/her fitness or otherwise will be final and no
correspondence in this regard will be entertained under any circumstances.
(iii) The consolidated remuneration will be Rs.4.80 lakh per annum, all inclusive, payable
in 12 equal monthly instalments, i.e., Rs.40000/- (Rupees forty thousand only) per month.
Taxes as applicable from time to time on the payable amount would be deducted at source by
(iv) In addition, the selected candidate will also be paid a fixed Medical Allowance of
Rs.12000/- per annum (to be paid @ Rs.1000/- per month)as also Leave Travel Allowance
(LTA) of Rs.10000/- per annum on declaration basis. Both these Allowances will be subject to
taxes as applicable. For LTA, the period of one year will be deemed to be starting from the 1st
day of the month of joining. For the broken periods, both the Allowances will be paid on pro rata
(v) No accommodation of any kind or nature whatsoever shall be provided at the Head
Quarter, i.e., the place of posting. However, in future, if it is decided by NABCONS to make
such accommodation available, the same shall be provided from the date of such availability.
(vi) The selected candidate will be entitled for casual leave up to a maximum of 15 days in a
calendar year on proportionate basis provided that not more than 07 days may be taken
continuously. This would, however, be subject to contingencies of work and further provided
that the total absence on any one occasion, including Public Holidays / Sundays, etc., shall not
exceed 10 days.
(vii) The selected candidate will be eligible for ordinary leave/ earned leave @ 1/11th of the
duty period, which could be availed during the contract period with 3 months advance notice of
such leave availment subject to its sanction by NABCONS keeping in view the administrative
requirement. He/she will be eligible to avail of encashment of accumulated Ordinary Leave
during the currency of his/her term with NABCONS and this facility of encashment of leave shall
not be available after the contract period is over.
(viii) The selected candidate will be entitled to admissible Travelling and Halting Allowance in
respect of official journeys outside the place of posting performed in connection with
NABCONS' work during the contract period.
(ix) NABCONS will not make any contribution towards any superannuation benefits.
(x) The selected candidate will be required to furnish a Statement of movable / immovable
property held by you as also by his/her spouse and other dependents at the time of joining and
thereafter regularly on annual basis, in the form prescribed by NABCONS for the purpose.
(xi) The selected candidate should also produce satisfactory evidence of having obtained a
proper release from his/her present employer, if any, at the time of joining NABCONS.
(xii) If any declaration, statement or information given at any time is found to be false or
untrue or if any material particular is established to have been suppressed, NABCONS shall
have the right to terminate the contract without any notice or compensation in lieu thereof and
the normal requirement of one month’s notice for the same shall not be applicable.
(xiii) The place of posting shall be at NABCONS Head Office in Mumbai / its Regional
Offices at New Delhi / Guwahati. NABCONS, however, reserves its right to place the selected
candidate at any of its Offices or units in India.
(xiv) Acceptance of the terms and conditions as above by the selected candidate will need to
be recorded on the duplicate copy of a formal Offer-cum-Contract Letter on the date of joining.
