(`16000 + HRA as admissible for NET/GATE qualified as per revised emoluments vide DST OM A.20020/11/97-IFD dated: 31.03.2010), Essential Qualification* -Post Graduate degree (MSc/ M.Tech) in Meteorology or M.Sc.(Agriculture) in Agronomy / Agrimet/ Ag.Phys. / Soil Science/ Agricultural Statistics from a recognized University / Institution.
Desirable Qualification - Candidate with knowledge/ experience in Meteorological data processing/ remote sensing/ GIS/ Crop Simulation Modeling preferred.
*Preference will be given to higher qualification/experience
Nationality/Age: Indian nationals with the following age limits are eligible to apply.

temporary/contractual basis in the project “Forecasting Agricultural output using Space, Agrometeorology and Land based Observations (FASAL)” under the investigation of Dr. Subhendu Bandyopadhyay, Dept. of Agronomy, Uttar Banga Krishi Viswavidyalaya, Pundibari, Coochbehar, Email: banerjees_ubkv@rediffmail.com The project „FASAL‟ is funded by Ministry of Agriculture (Department of Agriculture & Cooperation), New Delhi. Person recruited under this project would get an opportunity to work on development of crop yield forecast at State and National level by integrating and interpreting remote sensed satellite imageries, meteorological data and crop information. The tenure of the above post will be up to one year (likely to be extended).

Preference will be given to those candidates whose research interest and work experience has relevance to the mandate of the Project. The selected candidates will be offered Fellowship as furnished above. The above position is purely temporary contractual and co-terminus with the project. There is no provision of re-employment after termination of the project. No TA/DA will be paid to any candidate for attending the interview. Candidate should not have any type of conviction in the court anywhere in India.

duly attested by a Gazetted Officer / Head of the Institution at the time of appearing at

i) All degree certificates and mark sheets starting with HSC and up to the

iii) SC/ST/OBC certificate, if applicable, as per the prescribed format.
